Thanks Dan & Team - a good summary.

Except for a few extra comments (specific to site 128) which were included in the documents handed to David Serle after the meeting and emailed to worplesdon@cognosco.ltd.uk.

Can we request that these two documents, originally drawn up for site 128 but which may have comments relevant to all the GBC proposed sites,  are also published/distributed for general reference?

Thanks and best regards,

Subject: Worplesdon Park and Ride Action Group - Actions, Questions and Objections - from Meeting on 16th January

Please find attached a Word Document with notes from the Worplesdon Park & Ride Action Group meeting on 16th January. This email has been sent to everyone that has expressed an interest in Park & Ride in Worplesdon or wrote their email address when signing in. If you have friends or neighbours who might be interested, please ask them to email Worplesdon@cognosco.ltd.uk so that I may keep them informed.

To the 130 plus that attended, thank you for your support. I have spoken to and emailed Tracey Haskins, head of the planning team for site allocations in regard to the limited distribution of the Site Allocations documents and the short time for response. I have also requested that 1500 further forms will be available on Monday 21st at the Drop In at Worplesdon Memorial Hall (7.00pm) and would suggest that the community association heads or representatives request suitable numbers to cover their residents who did not receive the document.

The attached meeting notes list the questions raised at the meeting and objections, site by site.

1) Please consider using the meeting notes as an aid to complete your response document whether on paper or via internet – especially on a site by site basis. Check the whole Site Allocations document because there are many sites on there that are not Park & Ride but are also controversial. Please prepare and send your response to arrive by 30th January.

2) The ‘Drop in’ meeting tonight at Millmead took the form of a number of council officials who are happy to answer questions on a one to one basis. Please attend (or send a friend or relation) the drop in session on 21st January (7.00pm) at the Worplesdon Memorial Hall to demonstrate the level of our concern. Why not use the meeting notes and make a note of the questions that you particularly want to know the answer to when you attend.

The WPRAG committee view is that we would respectfully suggest that no-one is tempted to volunteer suggestions for alternative sites for Park & Ride until the case for Park & Ride in Worplesdon is proven and also that ‘special circumstances’ have been demonstrated justifying use of our Green Belt for this matter.

Thanks everyone for your efforts – we will need to be fairly tireless about this or else suffer the consequences!

Dan
